The political coalition 'La Libertad Avanza' has agreed to include an article in the 2026 Budget Bill that recognizes the request to include the tax revenue sharing (coparticipación) for the city of Buenos Aires, as learned by the Argentine News Agency. The inclusion of this article was demanded by the head of the PRO party, Christian Ritondo, who is a government ally and for this reason had previously signed the 2026 Budget Bill in dissent. The Head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri, advanced an agreement with the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, to comply with the ruling of the Supreme Court, which ruled in favor of the Macri-led city government. The article authorizes the Chief of Cabinet of Ministers to make the necessary budgetary adjustments to address the requirements arising from the compliance with the procedural acts ordered by the Supreme Court of Justice.
